Snow Day at Bethesda Fountain

Original watercolor painting of Bethesda Fountain in Central Park following a fresh snowfall. This piece focuses on the contrast between the statue and the soft, white snow and lake. Much of the background was done wet-into-wet, with very pale washes of neutral gray to suggest snow-covered trees. This marks part 2 in my seasonal paintings of the Fountain.
